WHO ARE WE?

NDF’s charitable purpose is to provide grants to government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community groups that support or assist in the education of children and those that are disadvantaged or underprivileged. NDF is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit private foundation and is properly registered with the California Registry of Charitable Trusts.

NDF is funded entirely by Tony Fong and Leonard Wang, and is managed by Jayan Hong as its Chief Executive Officer.

HOW DID WE GET STARTED?

​

Tony and Leonard, owners of Varda, a cannabis dispensary located in Pasadena, California (license pending), started NDF in January 2019 with initial funds of $20,000. $9,000 has already been donated to various organizations since the initial funding. 100% of all past and future funding (per federal law) will be donated, in the form of monetary donations and/or  grants to organizations for charitable purposes only. For us, this is an opportunity to give back and make a difference in the communities we care about.

WHAT HAVE WE DONE SO FAR?

In October of 2019, NDF donated $1,000 to the Gooden Center to become a proud sponsor of the Gooden Center Run for Recovery. NDF CEO Jayan Hong and Leonard Wang even participated in and completed the 5k run, while Tony Fong cheered them on! The Gooden Center is a Pasadena-based non-profit organization providing addiction treatment and mental health services to the community.
